RUMOR: Several Woodlands-area retailers are feeling the hit of the recession and closing locations in our area.
REALITY: Unfortunate, but true. Beginning with the demise of garden giant Smith & Hawken and electronics superstore Circuit City, The Woodlands is finally beginning to feel the pains of the downturn in our economy.
Area businesses affected include Woodlands Mall jeweler Bailey, Banks, & Biddle, Blockbuster’s Cochrans Crossing location, and Tekno Games in Alden Bridge. The upside for consumers? Big bargains can be had during these retailers’ “going-out-of-business-everything-must-go!” phase.
If you’ve heard of other businesses kicking the proverbial bucket, leave a comment for Rumor Patrol so we can spread the news and you can hit the sales.
